Budget Spending
I will immediately submit legislation to reduce the tax and regulation burden on small business and business in general. Business success and expansion is what will bring us out of this recession. As business becomes more successful, they get to expand and hire more employees. As they hire more employees, the tax revenue for the state goes up.
Stated simply, government spending in Annapolis is out of control, just like in Washington D.C. In the House of Delegates, I will work tirelessly to find ways to relieve the burden on our pocketbooks. You should not be treated as the Legislature’s Automatic Teller Machine. One of my top priorities will be meaningful tax relief that will allow us to keep more of our hard-earned money.
As your Delegate, I will work to watch every dollar that is spent. It's your money, and we need to be sure it's being spent on things that work. Every dollar should be accounted for and not wasted. When the government is too large and tries to do too much, it ends up doing everything poorly.
-
Remove duplicity
-
Watch out for waste
-
Stop funding programs that are not working
-
Ensure that government is doing its key jobs well
-
Vote against bills that are unfunded mandates
-
No tax dollars used to support illegal immigration
-
Maryland is one of the highest taxed states in the nation. Our sales, income and business taxes make Maryland inhospitable to working families, small businesses and economic growth. Our seniors and business owners are leaving Maryland In droves for states with friendlier tax policies. I will work to have Maryland become one of those friendlier states.

In the House of Delegates, I will work to find ways to relieve the burden on our pocketbooks, and rein in spending
With your help, I will be a relentless watchdog over the tax dollars we do send to Annapolis.
