Friends and Supporters,

The votes are in and I have great news (if you haven't already heard). We won! I received 23% of the Republican votes cast among four candidates.  It was a spirited, positive campaign that the Gaffney Campaign Group ran.

I want to thank you sincerely for your support and prayers. Everyone who has voted, spread the word, volunteered,  held a coffee, and donated to our campaign played a key role.

Thank you so much, you'll never know how much your confidence and trust means to me, my family, and the Gaffney Campaign Group.

Our focus is now turning to the General Election. We do face opposition from three known,  multiple term holding politicians and two other candidates; so this race is far from over. Our number one priority is turning out as many Republicans, and like-minded Independents and Democrats as we can to help elect me, a fiscal conservative to the Maryland House of Delegates.  My mantra is:

I will work tirelessly to find ways to relieve the burden on our pocketbooks. You should not be treated as the Legislature’s Automatic Teller Machine.  I have had enough of the Red Tape, government mandates, over spending and chasing businesses out of town.  One of my top priorities will be meaningful relief that will allow us to keep more of our hard-earned money.

Remember in District 13 Gaffney is the first name on the ballot for state Delegate.  Mark that box to send me to Annapolis.

If you have a sign in your yard, keep it there. Same goes for bumper stickers. It's going to be a sprint over these next 5 and half weeks.

As always, if you want to help our campaign there are several things you can do.  Tell five people that you voted for me and tell or ask (depending on your relationship) with them to consider voting for me as well.

And, we need poll workers on November 2, 2010.  The polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., you can sign up now by calling 410 489 4964 or by completing the volunteer sheet online.
